About Me

I am an instructional designer and digital learning developer with a background that bridges technology and education. I hold an Associate's degree in Web Design and Information Technology and am CompTIA A+ and Security+ certified. Before transitioning into instructional design, I worked at the Virginia Aquarium as a systems administrator and developer, building mobile applications and programming microcontrollers to support the Chesapeake Bay Gallery overhaul.

That technical foundation shapes how I approach learning problems. I design for clarity and real-world performance, especially when content is policy-heavy, technical, or high stakes. I use structured flow, scenario-based practice, and immediate feedback to reduce cognitive load and increase retention.

My portfolio work spans eLearning modules, onboarding pathways, curriculum plans, and interactive tools built with HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. I am also proficient in Adobe Creative Suite and frequently advise on technology selection for specific project needs. I am a self-directed learner who regularly explores new technologies, hardware, and algorithms — which keeps my instructional practice current and my technical curiosity sharp.
